Dr. Kloda completed a rigorous two-year Addiction Medicine fellowship at the Addiction Institute of New York, a Columbia University affiliate in Manhattan located at St. Luke’s & Roosevelt Hospitals.

His experience includes serving as the Medical Director for the inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation unit at Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Kloda cared for many patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical illnesses.

Dr. Kloda offers discreet, private, one-on-one treatment in a beautiful office at Columbus Circle. He offers concierge style treatment with long appointments and minimal waiting times. Dr. Kloda offers flexible office hours that include weekends and evenings. House calls are available as well.  Dr. Kloda currently provides treatment for drug and alcohol addictions to patients from New York, New Jersey, and Boston.

His treatment philosophy is one of flexibility and choice. Dr. Kloda’s approach is that there are different ways to attain recovery and to maintain sobriety. He focuses on doing “what works”, and on customizing treatment to each individual patient’s unique needs and circumstances.
Dr. Kloda offers detoxification for people with drug and alcohol addictions. He offers at home drug addiction help. Medical detoxification is medically supervised withdrawal. In medical detox, a drug that is the same or similar to the one being abused is started at a high dose, then gradually tapered down to zero. Have you ever wondered, “what can help for withdrawing from drug addictions?”

Dr. Kloda is an expert in the outpatient medical detoxification of
alcohol, opioid addiction (e.g. Oxycontin, oxycodone, Percocet, Vicodin, and Lortab), opiate addiction (e.g. Heroin and Morphine), as well as benzodiazepines (“benzos”) such as Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, and Valium. Dr. Kloda is particularly skilled with Xanax medical detox. While there is no medical detox for cocaine and methamphetamine addictions, Dr. Kloda treats these addictions as well using the most current methods of addiction counseling.
Dr. Kloda provides addiction counseling at all office visits. He does not only prescribe medications. Dr. Kloda provides addiction counseling using the most current methods of treatment. He provides counseling that is collaborative and non-confrontational. Dr. Kloda guides patients to find their own internal motivation for change and resolve ambivalence about drug and alcohol use. He also teaches ways to cope with cravings, as well as correct maladaptive thought processes and behaviors that lead to drug and alcohol use.

HOUSE CALLS

Dr. Kloda treats many executives and professionals with extremely busy schedules. In addition, confidentiality can be a significant issue. For these reasons, Dr. Kloda now offers house calls at your home or office. He is available to see patients in the tri-state area, as well as other cities in the northeast that are accessible by train.
SERVICES AND PAYMENTS
Dr. Kloda does not participate with any insurance plans in order to keep interference with treatment to a minimum.  His appointment times range from a minimum of a half hour to over an hour.  The wait time in his waiting room is minimal. The office does accept all major credit cards.

Dr. Kloda also offers support and addiction counseling with every visit. This type of medical care can be difficult to provide for patients when managed care and third party payers interfere with the patient physician relationship.

Dr. Kloda can provide and help you with billing statements to submit to your insurance plan if you have out-of-network benefits. While the office visit is an out-of-network treatment, medications are still covered by insurance plans when written by an out-of-network physician.
>> Hello, my name is Dr. Stuart Kloda, and I opened a unique solo private practice specializing in Addiction Medicine in New York City. I completed a two-year fellowship in Addiction Medicine at the Addiction Institute of New York at St. Lukes & Roosevelt hospitals. I am board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. I offer discreet and confidential one-on-one treatment in a beautiful office at Columbus Circle. I have very flexible office hours that include early mornings, evenings and weekends. I am also available to my patients 24 hours per day on my cell phone.

I offer outpatient detoxification from drugs and alcohol. Instead of going into an inpatient facility, detoxification is accomplished privately at home with scheduled office visits and phone follow ups. I am also very skilled in using medications to treat the symptoms of post-acute as well as protracted withdrawal. These are symptoms that can persist immediately after detoxification and/or for a more prolonged period after detoxification. I also give Vivitrol injections in my office. Vivitrol is a monthly injection that is used for the treatment of alcohol and opiate dependencies.

I have a Suboxone practice as well. Suboxone is a medication taken by mouth for opiate and opioid addictions. It can be thought of as a safer alternative to methadone, as well as much more convenient in that a prescription is written by me, then filled at a pharmacy just like any other type of medication.

I also offer one-on-one addiction counseling that is respectful, motivational, and non-confrontational. I facilitate entry into different types of recovery treatments such as self-help groups, outpatient group therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry, and acupuncture. If you'd like to know more, you can call me directly at 646-713-6578. Thank you.
